I got my mission call! The California San Diego English speaking mission. I have a sneaky feeling though that I'll have to learn Spanish anyway. Hehe, it only makes sense that I serve in California after all the California jokes I made to Peter. This is going to be great! I'm soooooo psyched... I need some food.

Two nights ago I had an odd dream. First of all it was odd because I remembered it. I rarely remember dreams. Secondly I didn't have this dream until after I hit the snooze button. So this dream happened in about a 10 minute span. I've never had a dream so quickly. I was going to write about this yesterday but I forgot. So here ya go...

It starts out in the middle of a Halo battle scene. The Covenant are fighting the Flood with some random human spectators watching. I hop into some kind of Covenant flying vehicle that was stronger than the Banshee... basically an air-tank. I got into a dog fight with someone else in one of those... and I won. Oh yeah baby. I cannot be stopped!

The scene shifts back to the ground where I lead the humans to an underground compound like they have in the game.

Myself and two others went further into the compound. I remember that the two were friends in RL but I can't remember who they were specifically. Just that they were friends.

After moving further into the compound, we found some very conveniently placed Flood disguises. But upon reflection, our disguises looked nothing like the Flood in the Halo games. They kind of looked like the Overlords in StarCraft only covered in the Flood puss and shrunk down to the size of a man. Also, as our disguises would brush up against a wall, they sounded like cardboard. Nice to know that if I'm ever stuck infiltrating the Flood that I have only the finest quality of disguises to aid me.

So my two buddies and I descend down a ramp that was so steep it was more like a slide. At the bottom, we encounter a very odd scene: a Flood dinner party!

Yes, a freaking Flood dinner party. The room had chandeliers, fancy tables, food, the works. The odd thing is that there were guy and girl Flood there. The guys didn't talk as they were the pussed over Covenant, humans, and bloated Flood from the game... the girls were a different story.

The girls all looked human. They all wore gowns and stuff that were made of the Flood puss but besides that looked like normal humans... well their hair was odd. They all had hair in elaborate braids that they styled up. The braids almost looked like they could have been jellyfish tendrils if they weren't hair.

Everyone is chatting up a storm. From the looks of things it's the women who are running the show here. My disguise is fooling everyone... but I feel the sudden need to leave. That's when I hear one woman say to the Queen, "It's a shame you have to go so early." I never got a glimpse of "the Queen" or the woman talking but I somehow knew she was "the Queen."

The Queen said something back that I can't remember. Then that same woman says to the Queen, "Well you should at least get to see the head before you leave." A bunch of other women agree and the Queen agrees to see the head. Now remember I'm only hearing these voices. I can't see the women saying all this.

That's when I become afraid. I'm not sure why but I have the feeling it's my head that they are going to show. Now it makes no sense since my head was firmly on my shoulders but I somehow thought it would be my head they were going to show the Queen... that's when my alarm told me to not hit the snooze button again... right at the juicy part.

I have no clue what this means. I'm open to suggestions. I promise all suggestions will be treated fairly and that I won't scoff at any of them... unless of course you're obviously making a joke. Then I reserve the right to scoff.

Darn, my boy in the Home Run Derby, Hank Blaylock, tanked. Oh well, he's in the All-Star Game just like four other Texas Rangers. That makes me VERY happy. Whenever the Rangers are doing well, I find I just plainly enjoy summer more. Nothing like the great game of baseball to get the feeling of summer in my veins.

Finally worked on something different at work today. I'm a bit worried though. Either Dwayne sent the wrong ammount of a unit or I counted wrong. On top of that I cost the company $20 because I didn't catch Dwayne telling me to send a package "on the slow boat to China." Instead, I told the girl up front to send it and so she sent it today which is obviously more expensive. I hate making mistakes.

It got real uncomfortable for me today at work. Allen and Mallory, two of my coworkers, were having a conversation about kissing, orgasms, and sex tricks right next to me for about a solid 30 minutes. I've only been on one date in my life. I'm an EXTREME virgin... that's right, not just any virgin. An EXTREME virgin. I felt very out of place.

I gotta learn to chill out when my little brother messes up our room. It's not like I'm a clean person but for some reason it bothers me when he and his friends mess up the room. I got pretty mad at him for reasons I don't understand. I'm normally a very patient guy (or so I'm told). Maybe I'm just frustrated... I don't know.

I'm having several fun RP's going on right now with Pip, Jaime, and Eirien respectively. Mmmmmm.... RP's.

At my church I'm in charge of teaching Sunday school to the 7 year olds. Sometimes it's hard to keep their attention. So I've invented a new technique. I call it the Sunday Ninja. Whenever I tell a story or give an example, I try to involve a ninja.

Like today the lesson was about peacemakers. I demonstrated that the ninja slicing Bobby's homework in half was not a peacemaker. They liked today's lesson a lot. Long live the ninja!

I saw this on Akemi's and Kou's livejournal and I took it... I've very confused. Not only do I have no people listed where there should be people... but it tells my most people tell me my livejournal is boring while it says 91% of my journal is not boring. Odd.

The one thing I've never understood about the LJ community is how so many people can be filled with such POISON. Many can never just say "Meh, I just don't really care for that person." They'll spend parapgraphs that document their absolute hatred for someone or something. Maybe I've always been too laid back for poison.

Now that I think about it, I can't think of a person that I HATE. I have several people I dislike. Most definatly have people that annoy me. But nobody I hate.

The other thing that kind of confuses me at times about the LJ community. Why do so many people just chronical every little problem they have in life? I'm probably more than a little off on this subject because I hate talking about my problems. I figure the last thing people want to hear about are my problems. I guess they talk about they're problems to get other people to agree with them or make them feel better. Heck, it could just be some come of release. Now if they don't know what to do and are looking for advise I totally get that. Then I think LJ is a perfect venue for getting anonymous advise.

Dwayne (my boss) said I'll be working on something different tomorrow. I have just been assembling envelopes for some company called metro for the past month and a half. It will be nice to do something else for a change.

My mom along with all my other siblings besides Morgan (eldest of my sisters. About 4 years younger than me) to Colorado to visit my grandparents on my mother's side. I didn't go because of work and Morgan couldn't go because of gymnastics. It's been kind of nice. I've always liked spending time with Morgan because we're the ones closest in age and we can discuss stuff... ok... I was about to say something positive about my sister and JUST now she needs me to take her to go bowling with her friends... and I was going to say something positive about her to. She just lost herself a compliment... okay... I'm off taking her bowling... later.

Well, just had my first day of work. I sure wish I had known they had extra chairs early on because boy are my legs tired. The work is just grunt work and isn't very intellectual but it isn't boring me to tears yet. The two guys I work with, Alan and Kevin, seem friendly enough and the guy who is over us, Dwayne is pretty nice in his own right. I think I'll enjoy this.

Whenever I listen to Trapt's "Headstrong" I just can't help but think of the fight I'm planning to have in one of my Firewall books between Jayce and his sister Sora. It almost makes me want to drop everything and start writing "Firewall" again.

A friend recently pointed out that I use the elipse a lot... do I?

I have a problem. My little brother, Austin, is up on his top bunk and sleeping. Doesn't sound like a problem does it? Well, he is having a huge case of whistle nose! You know, where you're breathing through your nose and you have just enough congestion to allow air to pass through and make a whistling sound. It's driving me insane... I must decide on a course of action!

Ok, this Lost Prophets song, "Last Train Home" is really rubbing me in all the right ways. I just can't help but just enjoy listening to it.

Got called by USFI (the people I had a job interview with) and they want me to come in tomorrow morning and do a trial run on the job I'll be doing. I'll talk with you guys tomorrow on how that goes.

Halo on the real version as apposed to the trial version is harder. I think the biggest difference is the fact that the radar usually only shows your teammates. On Blood Gulch, especially if people are using Banshees, that makes things very difficult to get on a roll.

Weekend was great!

Didn't spend much time online but I went to a Rangers game. A-rod and the evil, despicable, horrible Yankees were in town. A-rod made an error that allowed us to tie the game up. Then, in the bottom of the 9th, Barajas hit a game ending home-run! The only thing that made it better was that I saw it with Davy who was quite entertaining.

Sunday I went to church early so I could attend Mrs. German's (the best teacher I've ever had) retirement party. She was so choked up. It made me happy to see her again. I also got to see some of my friends from High School. That was great too.

Now on to the not so good...

My parents finally got to go to trial. Man I wish this could all be over. Why couldn't our builder just built this house correctly? My parents have been saving for a long time to build their dream home and once it's built, it begins to crumble due to shoddy building. Now we have to sue just to try and get our money back. We've now been in this process for four years now. I wish it could just end so my parents could have some closure.

My dad and I kind of got in a spat today over me and my listening issues. I have a problem listening to people. They tell me to do something and I start thinking about how I'm going to do it rather than listening to everything they say. It gets me in trouble at times, like it did today with my father. I don't know. I know why he harps on it and that it's for a good reason... I just hate it when he does. It gets me riled up and angry. Bah, no sense in worrying about it.

I stayed up too late last night. I had a very good chat with Pip about minions and got to read the first chapter of his new story he's writing for MSF. I can't wait. I got about another paragraph done for chapter four of Aimlessly Eternal. Pips done a good deal of pictures for my story. It's nice to have a minion who is as loyal to me as everyone should be. ^_~

Back in the days before BYU I used a 1996 Toshiba docked laptop I named Takeru0 (later to become Takeru1 when we reformatted the hard drive). Because it was a docked laptop my dad bought a keyboard for it. Now that I'm back home and Takeru1 died during the Christmas break, my current computer, Soujiro0, is in Takeru1's place. But yesterday I spent an hour finding and installing Takeru1's old keyboard on Soujiro0. I did it all for the nifty little user programmable function buttons. Now I just hit a button on my keyboard and I can make Word, AIM, Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer, and DivX open up. It's pretty much useless as it only saves me about two seconds but it's just cool.

I discovered a pack of unopened Girl Scout cookies in our family's deep freeze. Life is good.

In my room which I share with my little brother, we have one of those stickable, mini-basketball hoops. We played a game where we shot until someone made a basket. I finally won after 43 shots. Then next round my punk seven year old brother makes it on his third shot. I had block his next seven shots just to make sure his ego didn't grow to big. Some might say that's abusing my position as the oldest child. I say it's being a good older sibling. ^_^

Well, I have it so 3/4 of my Homer Rubik's cube looks right. More importantly it's the front side so I can display it on my desk without seeing the error in the back. Whenever I see that error, it drives my brain-head nuts!

I need to accomplish something.

Friday rocked on many accounts. Let's get a couple of things out of the way. While at BYU, the Twins (Mitchell and Tyler) introduced me and a few others to a board game called Diplomacy. It's kind of like Risk except you can never have more troops than you have "supply points" and you can never have more than one army in one country so you can VERY rarely just strongarm someone out of a country. This puts a strong emphasis on gaining allies as the name of the game would imply. But only two people can combine to win so you have to backstab people along the way. But you also have a high likelihood of being backstabbed. The whole thing is one big mind game and it's very very very very fun.

Only problem is I didn't own the game and the game is out of print. So me and Doug (yes the same Doug that's in my comic) headed out to find someone who has it. First we went to the Lonestar Trading company and they didn't have it. We then went to Hobbytown USA and they didn't have it... they suggested we check out Lonestar. We then went to a place called Hobbey Paradise, they didn't have it and suggested we try Hobbeytown USA. Finally we checked out a place called Big World Comics. We didn't see it on any of their shelves but the place is built like a small warehouse so Doug suggested we ask if they had it in back. The guy said they did and brought it out for us.

It was better than I had hoped. Not only did they have it but they had the collectable edition with the metal pieces. The one I had played back at BYU had cheap plastic pieces and it costed the Twins about $45. The guy at Big World Comics didn't know what he had and it was used so he sold it to me and Doug for $25! w00t!

Doug and I then rounded up a couple of our friends like Davy, Block, Payam, Garrett Baca (we now just call him Baka), and two guys I really hadn't met before named JC and Jesse. The game was a total blast... and not just because I won.

Some of the highlights were Davy's total lack of playing Diplomacy with Doug. Davy just told everyone outright, "Doug is going down!" Not really the most tactful of statements in a game of outsmarting your opponent.

But the best moment belonged to Baka when he showed why we call him Baka. He was reading his moves and before his final move said, "Now watch this. This is going to be awesome." He then backstabbed his ally... only problem is he backstabbed his ally in a place where his ally was supporting one of Baka's own attacks. Baka had quite effectivly cut his own support. We were all very impressed. Baka was very confused and we spent 5 minutes explaining to him how he just shot himself in the foot with a 12-gauge shotgun. After the explanation Davy joked, "So Garrett, what was the awesome move? I'm still waiting for it." Garret's shoulders slumped as he lamented, "Alas there was no awesome move!"

The other great thing that happened was I FINALLY finished chapter three of "Aimlessly Eternal... and Very Confused." I think it turned out well and hopefully, after edit by Jaime will be ready for presentation. Hopefully it will be on MSF on Tuesday.

The reason that chapter took me so long was that I freaking could not finish that dream sequence... granted I think it's a good dream sequence but it just took so long to write because I had never written anything of it's kind before. But my favorite part is my introduction of the antagonists... Romero and his gang are going to be fun.
